Ice Skates shoes from Seasons -adult female-

As soon as I saw those (and the roller skates I admit, they will probably follow 'soon' if someone doesn't do it) I thought about making poses with those. There has been until now two pose sets made with Moon's skates for ice skating (adults only), with Seasons now available there might be more. For those who don't have the expansion there are still some terrain paint available to place on the floor and such.

You can find all of the other skates and poses I made on this page.

Those are only for females young adult and adult. I am thinking about working on the male versions as well, and probably for teenagers and child. They are shoes, so gender and age restricted.

- Three recolorable areas: shoes, soles and laces (see picture below)
- Available for everyday, formal, athletic, and outwear (if Seasons is installed)
- Download file contains both .S3P and .package version, install the one you prefer

If you do not have Seasons installed, you will still find the shoes under everyday/formal/athletic.
Lots of thanks to Isla for testing in her game, patched up to 1.42 but without Seasons. She took pictures for me, including this one:

As you might have noticed from both those screens, the blade actually 'sinks' in the floor. It is how EA made them, so I suppose they elevated the sims for their skating animations. If you have Moon and Psycho's ice skating poses, use an OMSP with 8-10 cm and it will fix the 'problem'.

For pose makers, here is Orangemitten's tutorial on how to chose an outfit for a pose (shoes in this case, you need to replace the feet). This will allow to make poses without needing any OMSP as they should be at the correct height.

  1. Very cute! I will have to use these in my story! Could you make some of parents skating with toddlers and maybe some for kids?

    1. Thank you Logan ^_^
Those are adult shoes for women, but I plan on doing the children ones and check if there is any for toddlers. If there isn't I will take a look and see if I can modify the mesh to make them anyway.

Now about the poses, you can find the current ones here:

I will probably work on making some myself after I am done with the shoes, and I will see to make family poses if I can find good pictures :)

    2. Toddlers don't have ice skates in game, I tried to play around with the mesh but after assigning all the bones I still have to find how to generate all the other morphs (thin and fat), so it might take a while to make that.

The male version is done but I need to test them so it should be up 'soon'.

How to install

Most of the time when possible I give you the possibility to install as either Sims3Pack or Package.
Pick up a format you rather use (poses can only be installed as Packages), and install it in your game:

If you use EA Launcher:

Sims3Packs
Place the .sims3pack file in your folder My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Downloads
Run the Launcher, click the Download panel on the left and select the files you want to install before pressing the Install button.
Note: You do not need to keep the file in this folder, it can be removed safely once installed and the Launcher/game is closed.

Packages
Place the .package file in your folder My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Mods/Packages
If you do not have or do not know how to set up the Mods folder, I wrote a tutorial here.
Note: If you have too many files in this folder you should consider merging them or it will make your game load and render slower. Aikea Guinea wrote a tutorial about it, see here.

If you use CC Magic:

This launcher manages both types, so you can place any .sims3pack and .package files you want in
My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Downloads
For those who don't know about it, you can find the installation here and a tutorial there.
